Impatiens are appreciated for their ability to add reliable color to shady areas in the garden.
Impatiens flowers are wildly popular as bedding, container, and hanging plants, and can easily be propagated by seeds, divisions, and cuttings in either water or soil.
The long-lasting, colorful blooms brighten up our yards, whether in containers on the patio or in beds and borders.
If you want more impatiens beyond the confines of your garden, grow them indoors as houseplants. They can offer year-round color and cheerful flowers in bright colors like pink, yellow, orange, and red. And they lend themselves nicely to indoor life, since they tolerate lower light and warm temperatures.
